Litany Imitation

My wife...

You are the chips and the dip,
the crème and the Oreo.
You are the biscuits
and the gravy.
You are the bacon,
and the eggs.

However, you are not the mushroom,
onion,
or artichoke.
And you are certainly not the asparagus.
There is just no way that you are the asparagus.

It is possible that you are the potato,
maybe even the corn,
but you are not even close
to being the radish.

And a quick look in the mirror will show
that you are neither oatmeal
nor grits.

It might interest you to know,
speaking of the plentiful imagery of the world,
that I am the breeze in your hair.

I also happen to be the smell of rain,
the sunset
and the rainbow.

I am also the nest
and the branches.
But don't worry, I'm not the mud and the horse hair.
You are still the mud and the horse hair.
You will always be the mud and the horse hair,
not to mention the thorns and--somehow--the cotton.

Introduction

Hello, my name is Joshua Loofbourrow. I am 32 years old. I am married to a beautiful redhead and we have a 16 week old son. My major in college is Elementry Education with a minor in Mathematics. I am an extrovert who loves conversation. I live in Lewiston, Idaho and work for Taco Bell. I love poetry, art and nature. I love to read fiction, mostly, and try to steer clear of non-fiction. Recently, I took a class on children's literature and once again it renewed my love for reading. I hope to read about each of you and to have an enjoyable experience in this class.
